Perched on the edge of a cliff, overlooking the undeveloped island of Great St. James, Cabrita Cliff Haus is one of the newest additions to the St. Thomas repertoire of fine villas.

From the moment you open the doors you are swept to sea by the alluring infinity pool and panoramic view. Waves swirl dramatically on the rocks below. You could watch them for hours. A spiral staircase leads you down the cliff to the second level accommodations. The Trade Winds blow almost endlessly around and through the house. Although it's fully air-conditioned, you probably won't want to use it, especially if you like being lulled to sleep by the sound of the waves.

We love to watch turtles and tarpon on the reef below and seabirds flying by (we're pelican height), not to mention parasailors from the Ritz Carlton, which is a 10 minute ride away with its fine dining and shops.

This elegant and beautifully appointed residence with its travertine marble floors and mahogany doors has 5 bedrooms each with a king-sized bed and a media room with a leather queen-sized sleep sofa. The bedrooms have private baths with glass vessel sinks, marble showers, flat screen T.V., DSL and fabulous views from the terrace of each room.

The master bath has a whirlpool tub and is tiled with gorgeous red Italian marble. Two of the five bedrooms are downstairs with another full kitchen and living/dining room. This could be used as a two bedroom suite for a couple with children.
The large living room with a vaulted cypress ceiling opens through sliding pocket doors to a covered terrace for dining alfresco or just lounging, giving you an unobstructed view of the islands beyond. Furnished with custom furniture from Bali, you'll feel transported.

A formal dining room, with a six foot round table that seats 10, has a stunning view of St. John and at night while dining the twinkling lights in the distance are beguiling.

The fully equipped granite and mahogany kitchen has a six burner duel-fuel range, French door refrigerator, additional icemaker, dishwasher and microwave all built around a central island. A chef's dream and it has a 'dream chef' as well, available by reservation for your convenience. Cabrita Cliff Haus also has a gated driveway, two car garages and its own generator.

Villas shall charge Guest $35 for each set of lost or mishandled keys
