This Villa, formerly Mahogany Hill, has the best views imaginable. I wanted to create, in some special way, the wonderful experiences I had had on the Island of Bali. Renowned for its beauty and tranquility. So Bali Hai was born. She has just been completely rejuvenated and is now a beautiful home for families and loved ones wanting Romance, Peace and Love.

The photos speak for themselves. Hereunder is a walk through which one can relate to the photos. As one enters the driveway, having passed the 15’ harvest yellow wall surmounted by shell pots and stone balustrades, there are 2 Balinese Lions amidst the bougainvillea as your welcome to Bali Hai. On the left a Mythological Balinese statue while opposite is the new reception area. The lights at night from the stone frangipani lights dance amongst the trees.

Moving along one comes to a mountain of pink bougainvillea surrounding the water fountain of 2 Balinese Princesses pouring water from their jars into the pond filled with waterlilies and baby fish. Here in this sublime setting one can enjoy a cold towel and some iced drinks upon arrival before wandering up a pathway of trees of orchids, wild flowering Jasmin and gentle sculptures. Again many different flowering water lilies and orchids. The night flowering Jasmin gives the air a delicious fragrance and when the beds of Mariposas are flowering the magnificent white lily offers a scent so delicious it has been turned into a fragrance in Cuba of which it is the National flower.

On entering the hallway of the house the view extends beyond to Montego Bay. In the daytime one sees the blue Carribean sea and at night the twinkling lights of the city beyond. On the right is the kitchen, with a Burmese Lion in the entrance , very spacious and all that is needed for Ms N – she does not like to be called a Chef - but is most certainly up to the highest standard.

In the hallway there are 2 large bronze lions – Burmese temple guardians. An amazing limestone carving of palms from Bali is on the wall facing the kitchen and finally to enter the house elegant 10’ high gilt Burmese doors made of solid teak. The walk way leads one down to the dining Pavilion with the delightful Bumese lacquer and silver displayed either side.

On the right is our evening sitting area with restoration hardware wicker sofas and loungers. Beyond the magenta lilies, that only flower at night, is an English terracotta fountain itself surrounded by 3 large panels of Thai teak carvings. Many helaconia, frangipany, trees of orchids and other exotic foliage create the most wonderful place to relax in the early morning and evening. Dragonflies and butterfly abound. One wall is covered with a mural depicting a scene from the hills of the Burmese hinterland. To dream, to enjoy and to create one’s own fantasy.

The dining area is composed of a teak table that sits 12 in comfortable arm chairs. The lantern lights from Morocco give a prism through a mosaic of coloured glass and your choice of music from sonos is always available. The google wifi is on at all times.

Back down the walk way to the upper pool and sitting room. The latter is a comfortable room to sit and talk or watch TV while looking out over the sea beyond to Montego Bay. A centre table of 33 units of onyx and alabaster which look like a gem stone with their sparkly translucence comes alive with the magic of the colours, lit from the inside, radiating a soft ethereal light. Netflix is available if required. Also comfortable poofs for any tired feet!

On this level are 2 bedrooms being the Master with its garden rain and pulse shower and another lovely bedroom with 2 beds that can be converted to one. Both have ample terraces, English pub tables and comfortable arm chairs..

Onward through a garden of blooming flowers and color is the bar. Favian the Head of House can offer most drinks / cocktails and if not he will immediately learn! The double expresso is always welcome after lunch or dinner.Then a few steps to the sitting gazebo overlooking the Golf Course and the sea beyond towards Montego Bay. Sonos is installed and the music will play away till time to dine.

Down some steps to the Blue room with the best of views imaginable. A large pool deck with Balinese rattan leaf pool chairs, individual small tables with acrylic tops and also the more traditional pool chairs with the fabulous thick and luxurious restoration hardware towels. The pool deck has a central Gazebo with sonos and comfy chairs. There are 3 large umbrellas if required.

The opposite side of the pool is another very private bedroom with a marble bathroom and rain shower.

Then to the super private ‘bottom room’. Large bedroom overlooking Montego bay. The bathroom leads to a large individual shower room with pulse as well as rain shower. Outside is a table for 4 with a large sunshade to sit and enjoy the view with morning coffee or afternoon tea and just may be an evening drink.

This super Villa offers you and your family and friends the highest standards possible to eat, sleep, enjoy and have fun as adults as well as children.

The linen is of the highest standard, the lacquerware and Burmese silver just add to the restrained but luxurious senses surrounding a beautiful experience.

Enjoy a BBQ with friends and family in front of the Princesses. Lovely, especially at lunch time.

At night the whole property is lit by more than 100 LED lights.

Please note that there is a large stand by generator fuelled up for any eventuality
