Beachview was built in 1892 on Cumberland Island as three cottages. In 1923, it was floated down the Atlantic and reassembled in its present location as one cottage on St. Simons Island - back then it was called the Gramling Cottage, after the family that had it in the 1920's. By the time it was started to be restored, it was so overgrown, that many folks didn't even know there was a cottage on the property. It is blessed with a fabulous location - close to the water and yet being close to town, in the middle of everything - The house retains much of its historic charm – original hardwood flooring - great beadboard walls - even the original claw foot tub!

It is furnished with many comfortable antiques and high quality upholstery - but it is designed to be a place to put your feet up and relax to the pace of life that is Saint Simons Island.

Beachview has 3 bedrooms, 4 baths, sleeps up to 9 people, has around 1800 SF of living space (on a single level), with a 330 SF screened-in porch; conveniently located in 'The Village', so you can walk to most everything. For your comfort we include Anichini hotel linen towels/towels and fine Italian all cotton sheeting 400 thread count or higher, downy soft feather beds, and monogrammed Anichini robes. All bedrooms feature antique beds. The house features hard-wood floors and oriental rugs, along with a fully furnished kitchen, washer and dryer, and antique dining room table.

Dog-friendly with a fully fenced in yard, dog dish, and doggie walk bags.  The home is child-friendly and ready with a pack n play, high chair, and stroller, along with toys and movie collection. We have ample private parking spaces for you and your guests.
